A Bit about me

About Me

I am a PhD Candidate at LSU in Political Science, focused on the Governance of Technology.

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Nicholls State University. While my major field focus has been on Comparative Politics with a secondary focus on International Relations, my primary research interests lie at the intersection of politics, technology, and society. This has required a political economic approach to best get a grasp on this important subject matter.

I am also a co-founder of Vaero Aerospace Research and the Director of the Mars Colonial Research Project
I am currently writing a monograph entitled "Space Civilization" examining the social science questions about building human settlements in space.

My dissertation focuses on two case studies of technological governance: Outer Space and the Internet. I earned my Doctorate in Poltical Science in December of 2015.

My other work has begun to explore the concept of decentralization of technology and the impacts this has on the state and non-state actors.
This currently entails examining 3-D Printing and State Security.
I have taught many courses over the last few years at both LSU and Nicholls State University. Here is a brief selections of course titles:

Introduction to Comparative Politics

Terrorism

Introduction to International Relations

Introduction to International Studies

Introduction to American Politics

International Studies Gateway to Globalization
